Sun Wine Lavender is a blog that covers travel, wine and local life in Carmel Valley. The name of the blog represents things found throughout Carmel Valley that I love: sunny weather, vineyards, and lavender flowers.
I’m an attorney who works in San Francisco during the week and spends weekends in Carmel Valley. My husband (aka “Hubs”) and I enjoy exploring this beautiful, relaxing, and inspiring area. We have visited pretty much every wine tasting room in Carmel Valley and Carmel-by-the-Sea, joined wine clubs, and eat out regularly at local spots (and we’re always on the lookout for new places to try).
I originally created this blog as a private travel journal to record my trip notes and share my Carmel Valley discoveries, favorite wineries, and restaurants from a local perspective with friends and family. But there are so many great treasures here that I would like to share with a wider audience and so have recently made the blog public. My goal is to provide helpful tips and suggestions from my travels and wine tasting trips to other wine regions in California and beyond.
Like many of you, I’ve faced challenges and dark days but overall, I feel thankful and try to find joy in small things, near and far. Life is such a gift and I hope sharing my experiences on this blog can help you.
